marshmallows = happiness

"I never think of the future. It comes soon enough." -Albert Einstein

My first year at UCLA has almost come to an end. A lot has changed for me over the past year, but there are some things that haven't. One thing that's still the same is that I have no idea what I want my future to look like. Without a solid idea of what I want to study or do with my life (along with the fact that I'm running out of GEs to take), it seems appropriate for me to take some time off. Thanks to Appa's guidance and support, I've decided to take the next year to travel.

As my departure draws nearer, I'm becoming increasingly excited and afraid. Taking a year off to travel as an 18-year-old sure seems nice when you hear it, but the preparation that comes with it is stressful, especially since I'm not doing it with a tour program or studying abroad. I keep telling myself that the loneliness won't affect me and that I'll manage in the many aspects of travel, but the idealized image of traversing the world is slowly dissipating into a more realistic one, one that involves a lot of responsibility.

But still, despite the strong temptation to stress, I know that worrying is worthless. I could worry about what I'm going to do with my life, but I have assurance in God's purpose for me. It's just a matter of finding that purpose. The future will come soon enough, so might as well enjoy every aspect of the present. Life is too good to waste.

oops i don't mean force**

since everyone will WANT to be in it anyways, it'll just be a matter of masterful editing since yaknow there'll be too much footage to put into an allotted time of 10 minutes for youtube.
